Testo dell'imitazione telefonata dalla NASA

Quando ho sottoposto ai ragazzi la listening comprehension usando il testo della corrispondenza tramite internet con la  sede NASA Americana, i ragazzi sono rimasti un po' increduli. Erano meravigliati che un Ente così importante si degnasse di rispondere alla mail di un'insegnante di una piccola scuola lombarda. i ragazzi mi hanno fatto molte domande riguardo il fuso orario ed altre ancora Ho voluto stimolare ancora di più il loro interesse programmando la simulazione di una telefonata con la persona che ha risposto alla mia mail. Con il collega S. Tiburzi, insegnante di Italiano con delle ore di sostegno, abbiamo concordato che, col suo cellulare, mi avrebbe chiamato a scuola spacciandosi per la sig. Ulrich, la persona che ha firmato la mail dalla NASA. Un bidello è venuto in classe col telefono e il seguito della conversazione lo scoprirete leggendo la trascrizione nel copione che ho trascritto qui di seguito. I ragazzi erano molto eccitati nel pensare che erano in collegamento telefonico con una persona che lavora presso la NASA, dall'altra parte della terra. la telefonata è stata fatta alle 10 circa (4 del mattino a New York) e un ragazzo si è stupito che tale persona si fosse alzato così di buon mattino per sentire le loro voci. Alla fine della telefonata il prof. Tiburzi è entrato in classe. Tutti gli alunni hanno voluto raccontargli questa esperienza. Fel frattempo io ho scritto alla lavagna "SMILE! you are on candid camera"
purtroppo non sono riuscita ad avere il consenso di tutti i genitori per inserire nel mio sito il video di questa rappresentazione.

Teacher: ah, grazie!

Teacher Di Rienzo: Hi Mrs. Ulrich! I’m very glad to hear of you. Can you hold on a moment, please?

Mrs. Ulrich: of course, I can

Teacher Di Rienzo to the pupils: Listen everybody. Pay attention to what I’m saying, because you will have a listening comprehension test soon after the telephone call.

Mrs. Ulrich: have you sold the t-shirts with the images downloaded from the NASA site?

Teacher Di Rienzo: The T-Shirts? We haven’t sold them yet.

Mrs. Ulrich: when are you going to sell them?

Teacher Di Rienzo: at the end of the school year.

Mrs. Ulrich: will someone help you?

Teacher Di Rienzo: Yes, there will be some parents who will help me. They will sell the T-shirts to people coming at the party at the end of the school year.

Mrs. Ulrich: listen teacher, I would like to buy your t-shirts

Teacher Di Rienzo: Really? You would like to buy some of them? Oh yes, of course. I will personally send you the 9 T-shirts.

Mrs. Ulrich: I would like to have 50 t-shirts and I will offer you 25 $ each

Teacher Di Rienzo: How many ? 50 T-shirts? 25 $ each? Wonderful. I thank you very much. It is very kind of you.

Mrs. Ulrich: and now, can you pass me your pupils? I’d like to speak with them

Teacher Di Rienzo: Really? You want to speak with my pupils? Of course, I will pass you one of them.

Federico: good morning mrs. Ulrich. I am Federico. In Italy now it is 10 o’clock. What time is it in America now?

Mrs. Ulrich: it is too early. It is 4 o’clock a.m.

Federico: really. So you got up just to call us.

Mrs. Ulrich: yes because I wanted to speak with all of you. Have you studied the planets?

Federico: yes, we have.

Mrs Ulrich: which is the farthest planet of the solar system?

Federico: it is Pluto, but sometimes it crosses Neptune orbit so Neptune becomes the farthest.

Mrs Ulrich: can you pass me another boy?

Federico: yes, I will pass you Serena.

Mrs Ulrich: Hi Serena. Which is the planet with the shortest day?

Serena: it’s Jupiter.

Mrs Ulrich: what is it famous for?

Serena: ehm…I know! It is famous for its large red spot.

Mrs Ulrich: which is the twin planet of the Earth?

Serena: it’s Venus

Which is the planet called the morning star and the evening star?
suggerimenti:
* sarebbe stato meglio far scrivere dai ragazzi la mail alla NASA per la richiesta dell'uso delle immagini.
* si può cancellare dal copione le risposte e chiedere ai ragazzi di ricostruire il dialogo
