WILDELIFE EXTINCTION

Many species of animals are going to disappear because of the hunting, deforestation and pollution.

When animals have not their habitat anymore they risk EXTINCTION. But, man can help animals by creating areas for reproduction.

DEFORESTATION

When forests are burnt or cut down to make place for agriculture or towns  it is very difficult for animals to survive.

Trees and other plants are important  because they absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere during the process of PHOTOSYNTHESIS. That is why deforestation is the main cause of the  GLOBAL WARMING.

LOSS OF ENERGY SOURCES

Human race needs energy, but oil and coal will soon finish. We should use RENEWABLE energies such as; the wind and the sun which will last forever.

ACID RAIN

When coal and oil are burned in power stations or in factories they produce acid gases and when they mix with the water in the sky,  they form ACID RAIN which is dangerous for the ecosystem.

GREEN HOUSE EFFECT AND GLOBAL WARMING

Green house effect is when the earth is warmed by the rays of the sun and, heat from the earth goes back into the atmosphere. It is dangerous because it can cause expansion of the seas  and oceans and the death of many animals and plants.

DAMAGE TO THE OZONE LAYER

The sun’s ultraviolet rays (UV rays) can cause skin cancer and is dangerous for plants and animals, but the earth is surrounded by a blanket of air which is called the ATMOSPHERE made of several layers gases, and one of these layers are made of oxygen called OZONE, The ozone protects us from the UV rays. This layer of ozone is getting very thin because of the use of spray cans and refrigerator air conditioning systems
