Fedro's THE FROG AND THE COW

Narrator: questa è la storia di una rana che viveva vicino a uno stagno.
Frog: it's me! I am a beautiful frog! Am I? Look!!!
narrator: vai via non è adesso che devi uscire! not now, please!
Frog: hops! I'm sorry
narrator: quando era uno girino...
Frog: no! your story is too long! they want to look at me!
narrator: ok, let's start! bene iniziamo. Let's start! can we start? (rivolto ai bambini. se i bambini non rispondono si alza di più la voce e si chiede se vogliono che la storia inizi. prima si chiede in inglese, se non rispondono si chiede a voce sempre più alta finchè rispondono)
frog: oh, How beautiful I am!!!
narrator: questa rana passava le sue giornate a guardarsi nello stagno
Frog: what beautiful legs, and what beautiful arms, and eyes, and...do you like my colour? is green a very beautiful colour? Yes, green is my favourite colour
narrator: she usually asked people
Frog: do you like my eyes? and my legs?
narrator: un giorno arrivò una mucca, a cow. Non poteva credere ai suoi occhi! era così grande so big!. Molto più grande di lei e a lei questo non andava giù.
frog: how can you dare to come here in my pond! go away!
narrator: e la cacciò
frog: I said "go away"!
narrator: ma la mucca non si spostava di un millimetro
frog: I said "go away!" why don't you go away?
cow: I don't want to!" what are you doing in here?
frog: mind your business! I am the queen of this pond!
narrator: in effetti la rana è sempre stata la regina incontrastata, la Queen, dello stagno
cow: ah! ah! ah! you? you are so small!!
frog: what?
cow: look at me. I am taller than you and I...
frog: If I want, I can get bigger! and bigger and bigger!
narrator: e la rana cominciò a gonfiarsi per diventare grande come la mucca, anzi, ancora più grande della mucca.
frog: pfuuuu! pfuuu! am I big? (la rana chiede ai bambini se è grande e lo ripete finchè i bambini rispondono)
bambini: no, non sei grande!
frog: repeat in English! I can't understand! am I big?
Bambini: no, you aren't big
narrator: bambini lei pensa di essere diventata più grande. E' diventata più grande? is she bigger? no, she isn't bigger. Frog, you are not big!
frog: ok. I will get bigger. I blow. Pffff! pffffffff! Look at me! am I big?
narrator: is she big?
bambini: noi, you aren't
frog: pff! pffff! BOOOOOOM!
